The vineyard

T he four vineyards are annexed forming a classic Clos with the Winery located in its center. We give great importance to the vineyards and that is why we carry out agriculture integrated with the natural environment and we are also committed to never increasing production per vine since it is the only way to guarantee the best quality.
T he Clos Berenguer vineyards are essentially oriented from East to West and planted on two types of soil, mainly a Licorella soil also called slate (Finca Reboix and Finca Solanes) and a soil of calcareous nature (Finca Les Sorts) these characteristics and The diversity of its microclimates enables combinations that produce a complexity of sensations.
I n practically each of the estates, different types of varieties have been planted and conserved, the native Cariñen, Garnatxa Negras, Pedro Ximénez and Garnatxa Blancas, thus complemented by the varieties of Syrahs and Cabernets with low-production clones.
T hese harsh conditions with a slightly attenuated climate with large temperature differences between night and day and low rainfall guarantee optimal phenolic ripening while preserving freshness and acidity.
L icorella is one of the Priorat's treasures that contributes in a unique way to the personality of its wines. The roots penetrate its tiny cracks and suck out its essences.
